I’ve had SO many things that I wanted to post in the last few days, but I just haven’t. I’ve been busy getting things half-done. It seems the one way that I’ve been most affected by this adoption becoming more final is that I only have half a brain. When I was pregnant, I was this way – I couldn’t concentrate on anything; Handsome lovingly called it Baby Brain.
It seems that Baby Brain applies to adoption too!
As a quick re-cap here are some of the things we have done in the past week:
The pumpkin on the left was actually only about 6 inches in diameter, and judging from the bent knife, it was like a rock to carve. . . but it sure was cute! And Bubba picked this cute little kitty to grace our Halloween celebration. It’s as close to a real pet as she’s getting any time soon!
If you look VERY closely you’ll notice an oven mitt holding a marshmallow on a stick. This was our first fire of the year, which always comes with s’mores! Yummm!
A princess (again!) and a lion! By the way, I just loved this lion costume. Got it at Old Navy, Little Man could dress and undress himself, it was warm, and he looked so darn cute!
Some friends had a party; the kids obviously enjoyed themselves! The leaf pit was a hit!
The final game of the outdoor soccer season – and Bubba even took charge of the ball a few times! Yay!
There’s so, so much more, but I need to head back to my half finished grocery list and my half finished packing and my half finished scrapbook page and my half put together newly painted bathroom (all of which I have started today)!.
Maybe I can come up with something more profound tomorrow – or at least more coherent!
I was wondering what you’ve been doing with all the time on your hands these days. Ha! I’m sure you’re going crazy!
The pumpkins are so very cute and the costumes? Oh my gosh, they look so adorable in their costumes! It’s been a while since you’ve posted a picture of them together and oh my gosh have they grown!
