So Dimples is about to turn four! 4!
I asked him what kind of party he wanted. He very matter-of-factly told me, “Cow.”
And when I’ve asked ever since, he says, “Cow,” with a look and tone that says, “Duh, Mom, I’ve told you this about a billion times. When are you going to get it through your head that I want a cow party!”
So I’ll either be making a big hill in my batter bowl, icing it green and placing plastic cows on top or making a white cake with black spots then piping some green “grass” around the edge. (Think Gateway box but smaller and edible.)
My sister had the idea of having the kids lasso a chair or box or something dressed as a cow.
I plan to dress in last year’s Halloween costume (Jessie from Toy Story 2, a cowgirl), and Bubba can dress in her 2009 costume and also be a cow girl.
I had the silly idea of making cow pies (a mixture of chocolate, marshmallows and other stuff) to take home as goodies…but that’s a little sick, so help me, people, help me!
What can I do to keep the kids entertained at the cow party?
And what cute thing can I send home with them? (I definitely prefer to do one larger favor as opposed to a bunch of little junk that will just get thrown away, but hear me now: I’m not above junk, if it goes with the theme!)
Any ideas for other appetizers?
